A New Pair of Shoes

On Saturday, Mike and I went out shopping at a few garage sales. One of my best buys was this pair of Lobben's. For those of you unfamiliar with Lobben's, these boots are made in Norway. They are constructed of boiled wool. Apparently, these are some of the warmest boots you can wear in 50 below zero weather. Many people with whom I work wear these all winter long. They retail for $135 at local outfitters. This pair was being sold by a lady who had bought them only to find out they were too small. They had never been worn. I was able to get them for $10! What a buy!!!!

  1. Fancy schmancy! That looks like a great find, Kristie. Garage sales ROCK. Capitalism and "free trade" in their truest form.

I must say that my niece would like the shoes, for the simple reason that they are from NORWAY. During the Olympics, she developed an unusual affinity for the flag of Norway... that girl is ALL about Norway now. You'll have to see her birthday party pictures on my sister Melanie's blog. :-)
