Stars over North Pole

Mike and I braved the 22 below zero temperatures to venture out to photograph some night time scenes.  We started at Pioneer Park for a couple of quick shots and then headed home to catch some stunning images of the stars.  Thank you, Mike, for holding that flashlight so that I could watch the timer on my camera!

December Fun!

Wow, December is flying by at the speed of light!  I cannot believe that Christmas is in three, yes three days!  Mike and I have been out having some fun the last few days.  We spent some time at Christmas in Ice, watched fireworks in Fairbanks on the shortest day of the year and went snowshoeing in a snow storm today.  While I probably should take time to write about our snowshoe hike since it was such a close call (we were practically lost in near zero visibility and then it was getting dark), but I don't have the energy to tell the whole story.  Instead, I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Oh, and in case you didn't know....we gained 14 seconds of daylight today!

Fall in Alaska

September has brought some wild swings in weather.  From 70 degrees at the beginning of the month to 20 degrees this last week, we have experienced the beauty of Alaska in the Fall.  Amazingly, we even had 1 1/2 inches of snow last week!  Check out the wonderful sights around the North Pole area.
