Big Island Portraits: Day 8 and 9

Mike and I are home from Hawaii.  It was sad leaving the warm, sunny weather, but it is good to be home with our kitties!

On Wednesday night, the Mike, Chuck, Dawn and I went down to the beach and took portraits of each other.  Below are some of the decent ones of Mike and me.

On Thursday, we went to a coffee plantation and had a nice lunch over looking a valley and the ocean.  Those pictures will come when I have the energy to download them onto my computer! ;-)

Big Island Fun: Day 7

Day 7 on the Big Island brought Mike, Charles Lincoln, Dawn Lincoln and I lots of fun. We started the day with a 3 hour horseback ride through open country. We got to run the horses (or should I say everyone else got to run the horses, as I was to scared). We then drove to a little town on the north shore called Hawi and had coffee and ice cream. If that weren't enough for a day of fun, we drove to a beach and watched the whales frolic and play as the sun set over the horizon. All in all, this was probably the best day, yet!

Big Island Fun: Days 5 and 6

Day five was quite uneventful for the Mike, Chuck, Dawn and I.  We slept in late, went shopping, went out for sushi and then sat in the hot tub.  Day six (today) was a little more eventful, but still low key.  We drove down to the seaside in Kona and had lunch and watched the waves roll onto the shore. 

Big Island Fun: Day 4

Saturday brought Mike, Chuck Dawn and I some big adventure!  After a short visit to the Hilo Farmer's Market for coffee, fruits and veggies, we were off to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.  Hiking through lava tubes and observing Kilauea were the highlights of our day!
